Inventory management software for shops
Most stock problems are record problems: a sale was billed on paper, a rental went out without a note, a purchase was entered twice. ShopRex fixes that by making every quantity change an entry you can read back later.
How stock is calculated
An item's on-hand quantity is never typed in by hand after the opening entry. It is the sum of its movements:
- • Purchase — supplier delivery increases stock and records cost.
- • Sale — invoicing decreases stock immediately.
- • Rent out — quantity moves to "on rent" and is unavailable for sale.
- • Rental return — quantity comes back into available stock.
- • Adjustment — damage, loss or a stock count correction, with a reason.
- • Void — a cancelled sale or rental reverses its own movements.
Item records built for retail
Each item carries SKU, barcode, category, unit of measure, purchase cost, sale price, rental rates, tax rate, reorder level and photos. Photos are stored in your configured storage backend and are kept in a folder scoped to your shop, so tenants never share files.
Never oversell
Billing more than you hold is blocked at save time, not discovered at the end of the month. Items below their reorder level surface in the low-stock report, and anything at zero appears in the out-of-stock list.
Reports you will actually open
- • Available stock with valuation at cost.
- • Out-of-stock and low-stock lists for reordering.
- • Movement history per item, searchable and paginated.
- • CSV export of any filtered list for your accountant.
